Trudeau Round Cake Pan

Trudeau Corporation’s silicone round cake pan with an integrated steel frame took top honors in the Cookware & Bakeware category at the Housewares Design Awards.

“We’ve been looking at bakeware for many years and our biggest challenge was to find something that was unique to the market,” said Philippe Trudeau, president, Trudeau. “We chose silicone specifically because we really felt like that was the best material to use to give the best results in baking. We came out with some unique design features that make it a wonderful experience to bake with.”

The 9-inch round cake pan is an original design that is made from the company’s Supra Silicone, a patented manufacturing process. The pan also has a steel-integrated structure and BPA-free silicone design. Made of silicone with reinforced steel rims, the design is able to provide secure handling and a flexible non-stick, easy release surface, the company said.

“Cakes bake evenly and brown better and are released in perfect formation every time. The reinforced steel rim provides a sturdy frame to transfer baked goods from prep to oven to table and to hold form during baking,” said Trudeau.

While the bakeware assortment was designed for baking, the products are also ideal for the creation of savory foods as well, like frittatas, as the non-stick inside allows consumers to cook with little or no oils or fats.

The Trudeau silicone round cake pan comes in a two-color finish and is freezer, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe with heat resistance, according to Trudeau. Eight other products are included in Trudeau’s silicone bakeware collection, including muffin pans and loaf pans.
